Love is what makes the world go around, as we all know. Love is that intangible essential that all humans seek and very few find in its purest form…unconditional love

Love between a man and a woman typically starts through physical attraction. Initially they must be physically attracted before their minds, hearts and souls can fall into real love. There is never any certainty that physical attraction will develop into real love but the physical attraction comes first and that is where a whiff of aromatherapy can help.

Women and men are both equally affected by smell. A woman may be attracted to a man by other senses. She can be attracted by the sound of his voice. She can like the way he looks. She can love the feel of his touch. The same senses can attract a man to a woman. He likes the way she looks, the way she sounds and the way she touches him.

You might notice that we haven’t talked about the other two senses yet…taste and smell…but I am getting to that now.

We can all agree that ones breath should always be fresh. But breath that will attract the opposite sex, though, needs to be more than just fresh. This is true for both men as well as women. The scent of vanilla, orange and rose are the most sensual ones to use for your breath. Remember that essential oils should never be taken internally. The ONLY exception to this hard and fast rule is peppermint and it is not a sensual scent. Instead find breath mints that will provide you with the scent of vanilla, orange or rose.  These can be found and purchased in health food stores. Edible massage oils can be purchased and used as well.

When you are preparing for a romantic encounter with that special someone you should take the time to prepare yourself and your home for the meeting. There are many different aphrodisiac scents you can choose to employ.

The scents that are aphrodisiac in nature are: Sandalwood, vetiver, elemi, patchouli, rose, vanilla, ginger, neroli, cinnamon, clove, coriander, ylang ylang.

Take the time to assure that your body is clean and that it has been massaged with any of the above listed essential oils. Don’t forget your hair. It needs to be clean as well and it also needs to have been infused with one of the aphrodisiac scents.

Musk is a scent that is attractive to both men and women. Bay is a scent that is especially attractive to women and rose is a scent that is especially attractive to women.

Aromatherapy jar candles that contain essential oils can be purchased at most stores that sell aromatherapy products both off line and online. You can light these candles and infuse the scents into the very air that you and your ‘somebody’ will be enjoying.

Remember, that physical attraction is just the very first step in the long (and sometimes painful) road that leads to long and lasting love. Aphrodisiac scents and aromas can help make the journey smell all the sweeter.
